Incident Report for Baicells Technologies

Resolved

There was an issue with the upgrade of our load balancers, causing a service disruption. After the upgrade, our team discovered that traffic from the old OMC servers couldn’t be routed to the new OMC cluster, even though tests before the upgrade were successful. We also found that external access from other parts of the network was working as expected.

Working with Microsoft, we discovered the cause of the issue: the upgraded load balancers have new security restrictions. To allow them to access external networks, we needed to create an outbound rule and a backend pool associated with the virtual machines. This restriction wasn’t in place on the older load balancers, so the issue didn’t appear during our initial tests.
