Post-Maintenance Incident Summary – CloudCore (December 10, 2025)

Status: Resolved

During the scheduled CloudCore maintenance to migrate remaining OMC VMs to Azure managed disks, an unexpected TR-069 service issue occurred after the environment switch. This resulted in some eNBs and CPEs losing management connectivity.

Because TR-069 connectivity supports SAS operations, CBRS devices with SAS enabled experienced service disruption (RF mute) while TR-069 communication was unavailable. Once the issue was corrected, devices gradually reconnected to CloudCore.

Root Cause

A required cache initialization step was not executed during the startup of the upgraded OMC environment. This caused a portion of devices to be temporarily mapped into a default profile, interrupting normal TR-069 and SAS workflows.

Current Status

  • TR-069, SAS, and OMC services are fully restored.
  • Most devices have automatically reconnected.
  • A small number of devices may remain offline until rebooted.

Customer Action

If any devices remain offline in CloudCore, please reboot or power-cycle the device to force a new TR-069 session.

We will perform scheduled maintenance on the CloudCore platform starting Wednesday, Dec 10 at 00:00–00:30 PST (UTC-08:00).

Why: Microsoft Azure is retiring unmanaged disks which are still running on a couple of our OMC VMs. We will migrate the remaining VMs to managed disks during this upcoming maintenance window.

SAS and TR069 connections will be retained but the CloudCore portal will down during the migration.

Expected impact:

- OMC portal: Intermittent availability for ~30 minutes within the window.
